多摩大学がアジアの代表的会議「済州平和フォーラム」にて、下村文部科学大臣が基調講演を行うセッションを企画――日韓の親善に貢献

日韓関係が厳しいこの時期、5月29日（水）～31日（金）に開催される「済州平和フォーラム」では、両国の親善のため、多摩大学が企画したセッションで下村文部科学大臣の基調講演や日韓協力による産学連携プロジェクトの紹介が行われる。また同大学生もセッションに参加し、学生参加の交流として注目される。

　多摩大学は韓国済州島で開催される済州平和フォーラム（５月29日～31日）で、世界貢献のための日韓協力と日本の科学技術の情報発信を図るべく「アジアの連帯協力と新事業新技術が世界を救う」というテーマでセッションを企画。基調講演は下村博文文部科学大臣が行うことになった。「済州平和フォーラム」は、政・官・財・学の世界のリーダーと関連専門家が毎年集い、アジアの未来と発展を論じる韓国の代表的フォーラムである。昨年は30カ国から3000人以上が参加した。今回のフォーラムの主な参加者は、クォンタムファンド創立者のジム・ロジャース会長、マハティール元マレーシア首相などとなっている。

　日韓の経営者や政治家、学者、同大の学生ら約100人が聴衆として参加する同大企画のセッションでは、同大と（株）マナ・イニシアチヴの産学連携プロジェクトである「マナチュラ新技術」と日韓協力によるマナチュラ事業の国際貢献を紹介し、下村大臣は「Innovation in Science and Technology, Cooperation for Global issues」という題で基調講演をする予定。マナチュラは発展途上国の水問題を解決すべく、日本で研究開発された銀イオン生成キットである。

　日韓関係が微妙なこの時期、現役の大臣が韓国で講演する日韓親善のための学生参加の交流が注目される。「アジアダイナミズム」を標榜する同大では、これまでも韓国や台湾などに対して学生研修視察や経済人交流を行ってきている。

・Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity is one of Asia’s most comprehensive international forums where political, business, cultural and academic leaders gather together in Jeju, ‘Island of World Peace’ to exchange opinions and to discuss ideas of multilateral cooperation for common peace and prosperity in the region.
